Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) announced today the addition of Charlie Langenstein to the management team as Competition Director and Joe Lax as Crew Chief for JJ Yeley’s No. 36 in 2013.
In his new role at TBR, Langenstein will oversee each car to make sure they are as fast as they can be once they get to the track.
Like team-owner Tommy Baldwin, Jr., Langenstein got his start in racing by working on race cars with his father Charlie, Sr. back in their hometown of Mays Landing, New Jersey. Langenstein went on to become a notable crew chief in the DIRTcar series, where he notched over 500 wins and was inducted into the Northeast Modified Hall of Fame in 2008. Moving to NASCAR in the late 1980′s, he most recently served as Mechanical Director for Hendrick Motorsports, where his accolades include four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships.
