Michigan: WiFi, In-Seat Service Among Fan Enhancements in 2013

Michigan International Speedway is known for being at the forefront of enhancing the fan experience. In 2013, MIS will become the first track in NASCAR to offer free WiFi hotspots to fans.

The speedway will launch even more initiatives in 2013 aimed at making the experience at MIS enjoyable and memorable.

“Nothing can beat the live experiences, the sights, the feel and the smell of a race,” track president Roger Curtis said. “Now we’ve added part of the technology element that fans are accustomed to at home. Like viewers at home, fans at MIS will now be able to check their NASCAR fantasy league scores, tweet, facebook and text.”

Quicken Loans Will Continue to Sponsor Race at Michigan

Quicken Loans Inc, the nation’s third largest mortgage lender, today announced it has again partnered with Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, Michigan, to sponsor the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, June 16.

Detroit-based Quicken Loans was a sponsor of the same race in 2012, which saw driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. break his 143-race winless streak.

“Last year’s race was extremely exciting, and I know a lot of fans were thrilled to see Dale Jr. bring home the Quicken Loans 400 trophy,” said Jay Farner, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Quicken Loans. “We look forward to another exciting race this year at NASCAR’s fastest track.”
