Former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski has become a minority owner in Swan Racing, which will be fielding a full-time entry in the Sprint Cup Series for David Stremme this season.

Romanowski played for 16 seasons and in five Super Bowls and two Pro Bowls while splitting time between the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders. His health supplement company, Nutrition53, will be the primary sponsor of Stremme's No. 30 Toyota for 10 races and an associate sponsor for the other 26.

Eury Jr. Named David Stremme's Crew Chief

Tony Eury Jr. will be the crew chief for Swan Racing's No. 30 Toyota driven by David Stremme for the 2013 season. The move comes just days after the new team, owned by Brandon Davis, was formally announced.

"We have a long-term vision for Swan Racing and the addition of Tony Jr. is another step in that process. Tony brings a world of experience to Swan Racing and will be part of our long-term success," said Davis.

"I am really impressed with the team Swan Racing is building and I am proud to be part of it," said Eury. "I am looking forward to working with David Stremme behind the wheel and with competition director Steve Hmiel."

Team Vows Not to Start and Park

Brandon Davis' new Sprint Cup team made him feel ill at the first race he attended.

After making only 127 of 400 laps at Richmond International Raceway, David Stremme drove his Inception Motorsports Toyota to the garage. It was one of 20 instances in 28 starts last year that the team elected to "start and park" — a strategy in which teams forgo running a full distance in favor of an easy paycheck.

The newest car owner in NASCAR's premier series vows the rebranded Swan Racing won't be employing the philosophy next season.
