NASCAR drivers Regan Smith and Paul Menard, along with Smith's
wife Megan and a friend of the Smiths, escaped injuries in a Colorado
road accident on Wednesday. The
foursome was on the way to a nearby ski slope. Smith lost control of his
Silverado truck after hitting a patch of ice near his mountain home in
Evergreen, outside of Denver. The truck slid off the road and crashed
into a collection of trees.
Smith and Menard will compete in Sunday's Kobalt Tools 400 Sprint Cup
Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
