Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti and actress Ashley Judd are calling it quits after 11 years of marriage, People magazine's web site reported Tuesday night.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage," the statement said.
"We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based
on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
Shortly after the news broke, Judd tweeted: "Family forever. @dariofranchitti."
Franchitti later responded with a tweet of his own: "@ashleyjudd family forever."
Judd,
44, has been a constant presence at Franchitti's Izod IndyCar Series
races throughout their marriage, with her floppy sun hats easy to spot
on pit road. While Franchitti was winning four series championships,
Judd was frequently shown on TV and interviewed. (USA TODAY)
