NASCAR suspended two Richard Childress Racing crewmen who were arrested Friday night following a fight with Turner Scott Motorsports driver Nelson Piquet Jr. on the grounds of Richmond International Raceway.
Michael Scearce and Thomas Costello were suspended for four races, fined $15,000 and put on probation through the end of the year for having an altercation with another competitor after the race had concluded, according to a NASCAR news release.
Piquet and RCR driver Brian Scott and their crew chiefs were put on probation through June 26 for slamming their cars into each other after the race, the precursor to the fight that happened later that night. (Sporting News)
