Former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski has become a minority owner in Swan Racing, which will be fielding a full-time entry in the Sprint Cup Series for David Stremme this season.
Romanowski played for 16 seasons and in five Super Bowls and two Pro Bowls while splitting time between the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders. His health supplement company, Nutrition53, will be the primary sponsor of Stremme's No. 30 Toyota for 10 races and an associate sponsor for the other 26.
"Bill Romanowski understands what it takes to win, which makes him a perfect fit at Swan Racing," Swan majority owner Brandon Davis said in a release. "Bill is the only linebacker to start in five Super Bowls, and he did it playing for four different teams. His leadership skills and approach to successful competition will help Swan Racing become a championship contender."
Said Romanowski: "I am thrilled to jump into the NASCAR world as a part owner and as a sponsor. "Brandon has a vision for how to build a championship contender and I'm eager to be part of it." (USA Today)
