Another addition to Richard Petty Motorsports’ (RPM) sponsor line-up in 2015 was announced today. Transportation Impact will join RPM as a full-season associate sponsor on the No. 9 Ford driven by Sam Hornish Jr.

Headquartered in Emerald Isle, N.C., Transportation Impact is a privately held parcel spend management firm that helps their clients reduce shipping costs through small package negotiation and parcel auditing services. The company has partnered with RPM and the Petty Family Foundation over the past several years and is looking to grow their relationship with RPM in 2015.

“Just like the Pettys, we started our company from the ground up and have found success within our industry,” said Travis Burt, co-founder and principal partner at Transportation Impact. “Even though this isn’t the beginning of our relationship with the Petty family or Richard Petty Motorsports, we’re excited to expand our partnership to include the entire 2015 racing season, and we look forward to broadening our outreach to many of the Fortune 500 companies that are a part of the sport.”

Transportation Impact believes in giving back to those in and around its community. Since 2008, the company has placed emphasis on charitable contributions and public service, giving back to organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, The American Heart Association and the Petty Family Foundation. They’ve donated more than a quarter-million dollars to charity, and their staff has volunteered hundreds of hours of community service.

“We’re looking forward to having Transportation Impact back on board for 2015,” said Brian Moffitt, CEO of Richard Petty Motorsports. “We’ve had a standing relationship with Transportation Impact through the Petty Family Foundation, which has been a recipient of their generosity for many years. We’re excited to be able to continue the relationship with Richard Petty Motorsports and Sam Hornish Jr. this season.”

The partnership is effective immediately with the Transportation Impact Logo being placed on the B-post of the No. 9 Ford.
